My life is great!

Yesterday I saw my husband for the first time in two weeks. My life is now complete. There were a few times that I realized that my memory did not do him justice. I would get startled sometimes because i had forgotten how attractive he is. I also forgot how funny he is. He made me laugh so hard. Man, I love my husband. So needless to say, I'm extremely happy now that we're together.
Everyone in our old ward knows that I'm pregnant now. All I had to do was tell me parents and they just were more then willing to tell everyone that they are going to be grandparent. I know that it's there first grandchild, but still. It's funny, but annoying how my parents treat me as if I'm fragile or diseased. Oh and everyone's asked me if I've been sick and, to tell the truth, it hasn't been that bad. But now that I've said it, I'm feeling sick more. Luckily, I just get sick but not throw up. But I guess that's all for now. I hope to up date you soon on my job progress.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry to those who have just found out that I'm pregnant and wished that I would have told them sooner. I'm so sorry that I didn't tell you sooner. Patxi has this crazy desire to keep such special secrets to ourselves. He's funny like that. The only reason I complied was because I had this fear of miscarrying and then had to explain it to everyone. I wanted to tell everyone, shout it from the roof tops, but didn't want to tell because of that fear. Sorry if anyone was offended, that wasn't my intention. I'm only 8 and 1/2 weeks along anyway and the only reason why I decided to tell now was because after 8 weeks the chance of miscarriage is less. So anyway, I'm sorry.

I'm a little ashamed to admitt it, but...

I think that I've gotten a little obsessed over Shephenie Meyer's books. Brittney gave me the first one on Monday and I just had to buy and read the next two. I don't think that I've ever read 1690 pages in less than a week before.

I blame it on the fact that I'm without Patxi, alone in Salem, having to organize the house and look for "now hiring" signs. It was easy to say to myself, "just one more chapter."

Even though they are a bit obvious at times, I think her characters were the greatest for me. There were times that the main character, Bella, would say things that I could relate to. It was kind of crazy. And I'm a little embarrassed to say, but Patxi reminds me of Edward, well at least the way Bella sees him. I really don't think of him as a vampire but he's strong, protective, amazingly good-looking, and way too good for me. But enough about my wonderful husband, I'm sure you don't want to hear how much I adore him.

I guess I'm just saying, if you have the time (time when it's okay to to get "involved" in a book), check out her books. They're a blast. I can't wait for her fourth and final book of the series coming out this August. I want to know what happens!

The grossest thing ever!

So Tuesday I rolled into our Salem apartment around 7:30 pm, and what followed turned my day into the worst day I've ever experienced. And don't think that I'm exaggerating either. So I opened the door to our apartment and almost fell back when the smell hit me. (Just so everyone knows, the kitchen is right inside and to the right of the front door) So I quickly set my stuff down and realized that we must have left something out when we moved all of our stuff down 8 days before. I first found the corned beef that was left on the counter and quickly took it out side to the garbage. But the stench was just as potent when I returned. Then I looked up on top if the refrigerator to find a whole chicken and a bag of chicken breast moldering there. I tried not to hyperventilate, throw-up, or breathe in the foul-odor. I quickly grabbed the handles of the grocery bag that contained the chicken breast and quickly dropped it when I saw that it was ossy. Then I saw something that almost made me run for the toilet, maggots were crawling all over the bag of chicken breast.
Well, I quickly disposed of the Chicken I looked to see what damage was made with my Lycol Bleach in hand. The worst part was that I had to use Kleenex because I had couldn't find my paper towels or anything else that would get the job done better. I saw that the meat had spoiled and ran down the back and side of the refrigerator and into the cracks of the doors. I started to get really frustrated when I realized that everything that was left in our apartment now smelt too; every blanket, carpets, and even the couches.
After a while of hysterical cleaning, I realized that Patxi's fish were still in the hot car. So I quickly got their tank stuff, put it together, and brought that fish inside. To my dismay, both of the catfish had died. This just sent me over the edge. I started to sob. I was so frustrated that our home smelt that way it did, and the more work I had to do to get the house livable, how I could never eat chicken again, how I was alone in a new city, and now how I killed Patxi's fish. Oh, it was one of the worst days every.
Of course I called Patxi and balled during the entire message I left him. He quickly called me back and obviously couldn't understand what I said becuase he thought that I had had a car wreck or something more dire-need. I felt a little shame for my reaction, but concluded that he couldn't understand how horrible it was.
It's Friday now and things are better. I bought carpet deodorizer and two air fresheners for each room. I was able to use the deodorizer on the couches and am very glad about that, they smell great. My only fear is that I'm just getting use to the smell nad when Patxi get here, it'll actually still be here. I just hope that with time, the smell will go a way, indefinitely.

After we saw the upper Mesa Falls, we decided to hike down to the lower falls. This is the Waites stopping to look at some schat (bowel movements).

Finally after a few hours, we ate a late lunch and left for Liji's football game.

Then on Sunday, Annabell was blessed.

This is Paxti's side of the family that came for the blessing. It was a great trip, where I realized how much I miss seeing that side of the family.

Up Dates

So I finished my last Spring term of my Bachelor degree. I must say that I'm relieved! I also found out that I just need 16 credits instead of 20 to graduate. So that plan is to take 11 credits distance ed. over the summer, and then 5 credits in the Fall and graduate at Christmas. So technically, I'll be getting my degree through the mail, just like everyone else. So I don't feel slighted in any way. I also found out the I got a B on my thesis which means that it's bound and published in the Library. I feel a little bummed because I should have done better on my presentation. To tell the truth, I wanted an A, but after a few days I am happy with my B. Let's see, what else do I need to up date you with. Um, our apartment in Salem is very nice and now has most of our stuff piled in it. Though I love organizing and making house, I'm not looking forward to our "tornado-hit" apartment in Salem. But we got a lot of help moving in from the ward there and everything went well. Let's see, what else...? um, actually I think that's it. Well, I plan on leaving for Salem next Tuesday, except if Jen wants to come with me than I'll wait until Friday. Then I plan on coming back the 27th to pick Patxi up from his two week AT training. Then We would official members of Salem after June 29th. I think the only time we plan on returning to La Grande is for a family reunion in August and the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the Waite reunion after Christmas.

SNOW!!!! On June 10th!!!

What is going on with this world? La Grande experienced snow this morning for about two hours, causing everyone here to complain and question the theory of global warming. Well, we've been very blessed this year with moister, right? Yesterday, it was really warm and sunny. I did feel a pressure-change ache in my wrist yesterday but thought that it was more to do with Wii boxing I beat Patxi at last night. I did wonder why the heat was on when I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Next I woke up to Patxi calling my name to look outside and singing Christmas songs. June 10th, who would have thought?

Trip to see family in south-west Idaho area

Thursday night we drove down to my Grandparents house in Rexburg. I drove the whole way. We left at 6:00 our time and got there about 1:30 their time. Then we hung out with my grandpa, helping him with his garden and then went to see Jillian at the Pink Garter Theatre in Jackson Hole, WY. She's the one in the middle of the group picture. We saw a funny show called, "Who's Playing the Sheriff?" It was opening night so they were alittle unpolished but we were was definitely entertained.

Then, we went to a session with Patxi's brother and wife in the Rexburg temple. Oh, it's a beautiful temple!


Then we went on a hike/ picnic with Patxi's family to the Mesa water falls. There was so much water! It was very cool, except for the fact that I got sunburn and didn't wear the right kind of shoes. After that we all watched Liji play on his semi-professional football team. They won! It was a wonderful game. Then on Sunday, Tevye Waite blessed his new baby girl named Annabell. She's a cutie. And then after the BBQ, we drove home. It was a great trip. We had fun seeing the part of our families we don't see often. I had a lot of fun. I also hope to get some pictures from my sisters in law to post on here. Patxi and I still haven't invested in a camera.

Sorry that I haven't posted for a while

I really don't know what to say, but I haven't posted in a while and want to remain interesting. I doubt that people are as desperate as I am and check my friends' blogs every day:) I like to keep in touch. So, anyway...

Oh, I can tell you the up date of our moving to Salem. I talked with the manager of the apartments we're going to get (called Cascade View Apartments) today. All we have to do is go up there next Monday, sign the contract, pay rent and the security deposit, and get the keys. After that, we'll be set to move as planned, on the 7th of June. I now just need to call the ward that we'll be in to ask if we can have some help that day. Man, everything is coming together, how exciting and scary at the same time! I'm still a little bummed that we couldn't get an apartment with washer and dryer hook ups. So, we'll have to pay a fortune at laundry mats. I hope stay in the one we have now and then move to the other (called Cheryln Lynn Apartments) that has washer and dryer hook ups when it gets open. Well, at least that's the plan. The Lord will provide.

Family Newsletter

Last christmas, Liji had a wonderful idea. Each month, the Waites would write a letter about the on-goings of the month to share with the rest of the family and for our posperity. It's wonderful becuase we getto know what is going on in our family. This is an idea that others should do. It's definatly worth the trouble. To me. it's like a way to "force" me to wirte something that my grandchildren and great-grandchildren will enjoy to read. Try it! You'll be glad that you did.

Yesss!

Oh, yeah! I am finally done with my thesis! I did my presentation yesterday and now all I have to do is turn in a clean copy to be published in the library. A tremendous load has just been lifted off my shoulders! To tell you the truth, I really freaked out about my presentation. I felt really unprepared and I had a hard time limiting what I was going to say. Well, I did go over the time limit, about ten minutes:) (instead of 15 minutes presentation, it was a 25 minute) but everything else went fine. Luckily my grade doesn't depend onthe length of my presentations. So hopefully my overall grade will be a high B, though I'm hoping for an A. I'll post more information as it develops.

I've also just made a decision. Since me and Patxi have been trying for almost 9 months to get pregnant, hopefully it'll happen soon. So I've decided to only notify those who check my blog probably with one of those baby gadgets things. There are many different reason for this decision. First I hope that this will help motivate some people (mostly my parents) to actually look at my blog. My parents, once me and Patxi move, would still love to know the on-goings of our lives and a blog is one of the best ways to do that. Plus if you add the fact that Patxi wants to hold on to the secret for as much time as possible, in a way, I won't be telling anyone. Those choice few who actually check this blog will be the informed few, and Patxi will feel like I kept the secret as long as I could. I guess it's kind of silly, but this decision serves many a purpose.

Geology Trip

This last saturday and sunday my geo 203 class took a trip to the John Day Fossil beds.

Oh and look guys, more besalt. It was a running joke on our trip, the fact that all we saw was besalt. I think you would have to be there to think it funny :)

Anyways, I had a wonderful time. The people I went with were so much fun so it was great fun! The pictures of the fossils I found are up and coming, but they mostly consists or gastropods, a fish fin, and some plants. I was cool to climb on top of hill sides and dig for fossils. The crazy thing was that those who would just look around on the ground would find more things that those of us to put sweat and effort into. Aw, Good times! What stunk was the fact that I forgot to bring my camera so more picture will come as I get them from others.

The stress of moving has offically hit me

Today, I spent 2 hours looking on the Internet for apartments in Salem which adds to the two days spent in Salem driving around. The reason why it's so hard to find something is because of our criteria. We want an apartment within walking distance fromChemeketa CC and also don't want to paid much for it (nothing more then $600 a month) Yup! Salem's pretty pricey when compared to our $285 we've been paying in LaGrande. Plus all of he apartment require and application screening fee of $20 to $40 per adult. Plus Patxi just got other ticket which well cost us over $400. (If you want the story, talk to Patxi, I'm not going to publish it) I know we'll do fine, it's just kind of stressful now. I'm now in the waiting period. Waiting forinformation to
come and waiting to see if there's another option. according to the fees involved, I'm planning on only applying to two apartment complexes. Pray for us that we will be guided by the spirit as we make our decision.

I experienced something interesting

So the other day I had an interesting feeling. All of a sudden I walked outside and I got that feeling, and said to my self, "Oh, I love the Christmas season." Then stopped in my tracks and said, "Wait! it's April 30th! It snowed in La Grande yeaterday and into the night. Around noon today there still is snowing melting off cars! I am really sick and tired of this weather. It's been the spring equinox for over a month now. I don't remember La Grande getting snow every week this late in the year before. Patxi wanted me to get a picture of it so we cold share it on our family picture website but our camera wasn't working so I thought that I would mention it on my blog. I'm going crazy with cabin fever!
